Heather Gray's History and Experience

Heather Gray is a textile designer working in Dallas, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University where she studied under Janet Taylor and Claire Verstegan. Heather Gray works with Interior Design Firms across the United States to design custom fabrics used for upholstery, window treatments, coverlets, wall hangings, sofa throws and other imaginative projects. In addition to Heather Gray's own product development, she weaves fabric yardage for other textile artists who are in need of large production capabilities. She has many years experience in design and production weaving and has had the opportunity to weave with and master some of the industry's top technological equipment. In her extended education, Heather studied advanced chemical processes for textiles under Joy Boutrop, an internationally known textile engineer from Denmark.

Learn More About Hand Looms

"I hope to give you art to live in. I am involved in the entire process and enjoy creating the mood that fabric evokes in a room. Upholstery and other interior fabrics can be just as unique as the painting you hang on the wall or the free-standing sculpture in the formal dining room. The idea that fabrics are designed specifically for a particular space and then hand-manipulated during the production process is very appealing in a fast-paced machine-driven world."
You will enjoy our "hard-work" ethic, and the personal attention you receive when working with us.
